Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This policy describes how Adam Parks Inc (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit adamparks.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated with the support of Branding Arc, our affiliated marketing and technology company, which acts on our behalf in running it. This policy covers the Site only; the websites of our affiliated companies (Branding Arc, Lynn Partners, ReceivablesInfo.com) and the third-party platforms we link to have their own policies.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide. The Site has no user accounts and no comments. The information you can choose to provide is:

  • Inquiry forms: name, email, organization (optional), deadline (optional), your message, and the inquiry type you select (media, policy, or general). The speaking form additionally collects event name, dates, format, and audience description. The work-with-me form collects name, email, and a short description of what you are trying to do.
  • Email subscriptions: your email address and the subscription context (for example, research updates or writing), which we store as a tag so we can send you what you actually asked for.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site we and our service providers collect, through cookies and similar technologies: device and browser type, pages viewed, approximate (city-level) location derived from IP address, referring site, and interaction events such as link clicks, form submissions, video plays, and downloads. We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager for this. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and operations.

Information from embedded services. Pages that embed media players (for example Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube) load content from those companies, which may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies, as described in Section 4.

3. How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiries and route them to the right person or affiliated company, which is the entire purpose of the inquiry types.
  • To send the email updates you subscribed to, matched to your subscription tag.
  • To understand how the Site is used, which pages and research assets matter to visitors, and how people move between our affiliated sites, so we can improve the Site.
  • To operate, secure, and debug the Site, and to prevent abuse of its forms.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

We do not use your information for advertising. The Site carries no ads, no ad trackers, and no retargeting pixels, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

4. Cookies, analytics, and embedded players

We use a small set of cookies and similar technologies: analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager, and functional cookies necessary for forms and security. We have configured our analytics with IP-level data minimization where the platform supports it.

Embedded media players are the largest third-party presence on the Site. We load them using a click-to-load approach where practical, which means the third party’s cookies are generally not set until you interact with the player. Once you press play, the embed operates under its provider’s privacy policy: Google (YouTube), Spotify, or Apple.

Your choices: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; you can use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on; and the Site will continue to work with cookies blocked, though analytics will not record your visit.

DECISION POINT: Notice-based cookie approach (this section plus a first-visit notice banner linking here) is drafted for a US-focused audience. Counsel to confirm that EU/UK consent requirements are not triggered by the Site’s audience and that the Florida and other US state thresholds are not met.

5. Cross-site measurement within our network

Being straightforward about something most policies bury: links between this Site and our affiliated sites (Branding Arc, Lynn Partners, ReceivablesInfo.com) carry campaign tags (UTM parameters) so we can see, in aggregate, how visitors move between our own properties; for example, how many people who read a research page later visit an affiliated company’s site. This measurement is aggregate traffic analysis, not the building of individual profiles, and each affiliated site’s own data practices are governed by its own policy.

6. How we share information

  • Service providers acting on our instructions: website hosting, analytics, email delivery, form processing, and security. The current providers are listed in the appendix to this policy. [APPENDIX: named provider list to be completed.]
  • Affiliated companies, for routing: if your inquiry concerns marketing services or consulting engagements, we share it with Branding Arc or Lynn Partners respectively so the right team can respond. Branding Arc also processes Site data generally in its role operating the Site on our behalf.
  • Event organizers: if you submit a speaking inquiry, or if Adam is appearing at your event, we share the details reasonably needed to evaluate, book, and produce the appearance.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person, or to enforce our Terms of Use.
  • Business transfers: if the Site or the entity that operates it is reorganized, merged, or transferred, information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Email communications and your choices

Emails we send match the subscription you chose, and nothing arrives without a subscription or an inquiry from you. Every marketing or update email contains a one-click unsubscribe that takes effect promptly under applicable law. Transactional messages, such as a reply to your inquiry or a confirmation of your form submission, are not subscription messages and may be sent as needed to respond to you.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the modest categories of information the Site handles: encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout, access controls limiting who can see form submissions and subscriber lists, spam and abuse protections on forms, and reputable providers for hosting and email. No website can guarantee perfect security, and you should avoid sending sensitive personal information through the Site’s forms; the forms exist for professional inquiries and need nothing sensitive to do their job.

9. Retention

We keep information only as long as it serves the purposes above: form submissions for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and maintain a reasonable correspondence record; email addresses until you unsubscribe or the list is retired, after which they are suppressed or deleted; analytics data under a 14-month retention setting; and server logs on our host’s standard short rotation. We may retain information longer where required by law or to resolve disputes.

DECISION POINT: The 14-month GA4 retention commitment must match the actual GA4 property setting; the build team should configure it before this policy publishes.

10. Children

The Site is intended for professional and adult audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it. Contact us through Section 12 if you believe a child has provided information through the Site.

11. Your rights and choices

Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, ask what we have collected, or object to a use of it. We extend these requests to all visitors as a matter of practice, whether or not a specific privacy statute applies to us. To make a request, use the Contact page with the General inquiry type and the word Privacy in your message, or write to the address in Section 12. We will verify the request using the email address involved and respond within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these choices. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have specific statutory rights; where those laws apply to us, we honor them as written.

DECISION POINT: Confirm the operational owner of privacy requests in the maintenance SOP and that the 45-day commitment is realistic; counsel to confirm the statement on state-law applicability given current thresholds.

12. Contact and international note

Privacy questions and requests: Adam Parks Inc, 1860 Fountainview Blvd, Suite 100, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34986, or the Contact page with the General inquiry type. The Site is operated from the United States and information is processed and stored in the United States; if you visit from elsewhere, you understand that your information will be handled in the United States under this policy.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site or the law changes. The effective date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be flagged with a notice on the Site for a reasonable period. Prior versions are available on request.
